Labor Day Beach Party

New Year's week high surf
A predicted four days of larger than normal surf has hit the San Diego coast.

Surfers and other boarders took advantage of a long interval of southwest swell that started Wednesday and is running through Friday evening producing waves as high as 11 feet on southwest-facing beaches, elsewhere ranging from 4 to 7 feet high. Another swell will arrive Saturday, producing high waves and dangerous rip currents, according to the National Weather Service.
